Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2026

HAPPY NEW YEAR. To start of the year, these are my 10 most anticipated movies of 2026. Some of these do not have release dates set yet, which means that they may not come out in 2026. However, I decided to include them as I have good reason to believe that they will be out in 2026. There are so many movies to be excited for this year, but I had to narrow the list down to only 10 films. Therefore, there are other films to watch out for, I just didn't include them. 1. The Odyssey 2. Hope 3. Digger 4. Toy Story 5 5. Disclosure Day 6. Wild Horse Nine (Title may change) 7. Avengers: Doomsday (I had to include it. Of course I want it to be good) 8. The Adventures of Cliff Booth (Title may change) 9. The Drama 10. Wildwood

Top 10 movies of 2025

I haven't seen all 2025 films. There are many that I have yet to see. Here is my current ranking of my top 10 favorites of the year. Obviously, it may change as I watch more movies and as I rewatch some movies. 1. Wake Up Dead Man 2. Sinners 3. It was Just an Accident 4. Together 5. One Battle After Another 6. If I had legs I'd kick you 7. No Other Choice 8. Weapons 9. Frankenstein 10. Bring her back What a year for horror movies! Sorry there's no explanation to each one as to why I love them. I have linked the ones with reviews. To be honest, this year was a great year for movies, and I can't wait to catch up on the ones I haven't seen yet.

To confess to a priest is to be exposed. To confess to the police is to be absolved - "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery" Spoiler-Free Review

Image
The new Rian Johnson whodunnit "Knives Out" film is quite good. I was very disappointed by "Glass Onion" back in 2022, and I had seen it 3 times by now and I am still not impressed. I think it's just a watchable film, but the plot is overcomplicated with not enough information for the mystery to act as a good mystery. This is a similar gripe I have with the new film "Wake up dead man" but this one is the most thematic, emotionally resonant, deeply meaningful film yet.  The film chooses to be a film about faith and the search for truth disguised as a whodunnit. Similar to how the first "Knives Out" film is a satire disguised as a whodunnit. I feel like Rian Johnson seems to over complicate the mystery elements of this film. The murder mystery investigation just moves forward constantly at a rate that the audience cannot follow, and therefore we just have to watch Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, just solve the mystery without us. We don...

Sorry, Gunn: But That's Not How You End a Good Show - "Peacemaker" Season 2 Spoiler Review

Image
"Peacemaker" season 2 is the highly anticipated follow up to "Superman" and the third project of the DCU. I'm going to get into spoilers in this review so please keep that in mind.  To begin, I think what James Gunn did here with how he slightly changed season 1 in order to make it work in the DCU makes sense. Changing the Justice League in season 1 to be the Justice Gang instead. And then changing some other stuff so that season 2 makes sense was a good idea. This season is mostly about John Cena's character, not Peacemaker, but Christopher Smith discovering a door that takes him to a universe where his father and his brother are still alive. And they're nice to him! So he wants to stay there because he thinks it's the "best universe ever." Now, that plot alone is brilliant. It really allows the show to explore Smith's psyche and his desire to belong and be loved. This ideal universe also has Emilia Harcourt that actually expresses he...

"One battle after another" spoiler-free review

The newest Paul Thomas Anderson movie. Everyone says it's a masterpiece but is it true? I wasn't originally going to write this review but I just had to since everyone was talking about it. "One battle after another" is pretty good. I think the best part of this movie is its craft. The camera work is done so confidently that shows that PTA is now a master of directing. There are multiple long scenes that just carry on with such energy. The camera does a lot. The fact that it was shot on VISTAVISION does help too. The cinematography in the desert definitely gives a lot of neo-western vibes similar to that of "No country for old men." Extremely well shot film. The film does feel like we are moving from following different characters. Maybe this is a bit too messy for me. The film has too many characters and can't juggle them that well. They come and go and sometimes you wish they lasted a little longer. If I had to choose a main character, I would say thi...

'One battle after another' review embargo has lifted

Image
This is going to be short blog. I don't have much time but I had to report this. Paul Thomas Anderson's newest film 'One battle after another' reviews have officially dropped. Congratulations, PTA on your Oscar. Everyone says it's the film of the year, film of the decade, film of century, you name it. Whatever. Most of it is probably hyperbole but I do trust Paul Thomas Anderson to have created a fun well-made film. Currently at 97 on Metacritic which is insane. With very good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes too. Many credible critics are chiming in on the hype. I'm so excited to see it. I think I'll be seeing it next week.
